The Bed and Breakfast Santa Marina is located in a charming area, due to the presence of the ravine and the position of its lodgings, which are located along the “Vicinanza”, small houses carved into the rock and typical of Massafra, on Via Lo Pizzo. In one of the "vicinanza" is the "cantina”, where you can taste the wines of the most prestigious Apulian wineries and craft beers from Apulia and buy local wines and other local products, such as vegetables in oil, Apulian olive oil, taralli and friselle.kfast Santa Marina features a beautiful terrace with view over the gravina and the medieval castle.
The rooms, including one suite and a room for disabled, are spacious, modernly furnished with all amenities including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, mini bar and private bathroom. Some rooms also feature a Jacuzzi.
The town of Massafra is located between two ravines (gravine): Gravina di San Marco and Gravina di Madonna della Scala, in which is located the Sanctuary having the same name, which is accessible by a long staircase. Gravina di San Marco owes its name to the crypt dating back to the 6th century: the Church-crypt of San Marco, whose interior has one nave and two aisles and contains a large fresco of the Saint to whom is dedicated the church.
Worth seeing is also the castle which houses inside the Civic Archaeological Museum of Civilization of Oil and Wine and in the ols town the Church of San Lorenzo with its imposing dome, which with the Clock Tower is a symbol of the town.
In the territory of Massafra is present the WWF oasis of Monte Sant'Elia. From Massafra they are easy to reach other popular Apulian destinations, such as Taranto, Alberobello, Monopoli, Martina Franca, Noci, Massafra, Mottola and Castellana Grotte.
